The "release dates" for re-pressings should really be called "year of pressing" IMHO. My reasoning is that the records were never deleted and therefore continuously available. Release dates should only apply to new albums, perhaps those that have been specifically remixed, as they were for the 1980's cd's and the recent Sgt pepper.

My 'Rubber Soul' album PCSO 3075 orange labels Australian? has different matrix #'s on either side.
Side A is marked YEX 178-3 and Side B is marked YEX 179-5. Any idea of value ?? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, my copy is with these runout matrix (version 3) and with this cover, where the laminated ends over the spine and with a little stripe on the back cover. Also the phrase "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." is near the edge of the bottom of the back cover. The difference is on the label perimeter, that report "The Gramophone Co. Ltd."

I have a Greek version of this album, stereo. Any rough idea of value?

So what's the deal with this? Does it have the regular track listing (as per the back cover) or the rearranged track listing (as per the labels, taken from the 8-track)?
MrCat
I have a very similiar version to this one but not the same. Label has differences as it says "Fabricado por Tecnifon S.A." and Cara A and Cara B are written on the right side instead of left side. I cannot find it listed on discogs. anyone?

I have this. I bought it from a marketplace at the end of Las Rablas in Barcelona, Spain at a windy afternoon of November 2013 for €25.

I have a US copy of this with Apple vinyl and Capitol sleeve in amazing condition that's not in the database. I checked all the runout groove data 3x... Side A of mine says ST2442-18-H and side B runout is etched ST2442-23-H... What should I do about this? I'm asking because initially I wanted to categorize it to sell... Now I'm wondering if it's rare and whether I SHOULD sell it! ANY HELP? thanks...

J'imagine que tu as déjà eu ta réponse, au cas ou...Depend de l'état de la pochette et du vinyl et de la version, entre 1 et 10€.

'there are also copies with a mix of the -1 and -4 matrices which were intermediate and quite uncommon'Yep, I've got one of those, 'variation 2B' apparently, first pressing variation from 'loud cut' to second pressing. kind of a bridge between the two. It sounds great to my ears, I haven't seen many of them about either so they must be quite rare.

I just purchased the EMI Parlaphone 180g remaster of RS, and my advice to you is to RUN and BUY this remaster NOW ! It plays as crisp and detailed as any mfsl album that I own. The remaster retains all the charm of its early sterophonic channel separation and seems to bring the vocals a bit more forward, along with lead guitar (sitar, etc) riffs. The album is as dead quiet as it gets, owing in part to a very heavyweight pressing that borders closer to 200g than 180g. I also love the fact that this album is the UK mix of Rubber Soul.
Mr_NiCkNaMe
I have what I believe to be a US first press copy on mono. The only T-2442 copies listed all have "Beatles" listed in the label and mine does not. This is similar to the stereo first pressing listed here:http://www.discogs.com/Beatles-Rubber-Soul/release/2612634Normally I would just create a new page but I'm a little intimidated to mess with Beatles stuff without verification. Thanks.

Does anyone know how many of the loud cut XEX 579-1, XEX 580-1 copies were produced and released? I just paid about $50.00 AUD for one in supposedly VG+ condition which seems ok to my limited knowledge. Lets see what its like when it arrives lol. *crosses fingers*
