Take Her Up to Monto - Roisin Murphy. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей. Take Her Up to Monto is the fourth solo studio album by Irish singer Róisín Murphy. It was released on 8 July 2016 by Play It Again Sam. The album was co-produced with longtime collaborator Eddie Stevens during the same five-week session period that resulted in Murphy's previous album, Hairless Toys 2015. Take Her Up to Monto was recorded during the same sessions as Murphy's 2015 album Hairless Toys, and included producer and longtime collaborator Eddie Stevens. The title is derived from an Irish. Released just one year after her last, 2015s Mercury Prize-nominated Hairless Toys, Róisín referred to this album as its little sibling. She stated in an interview that Hairless Toys is a much more cohesive, subtle, kind of all gelled together type of statement. And what we got on Monto was the more extreme parts of the personality. Its a more pointy and complex record. Take Her Up To Monto Q&A. 2016 г. Take Her Up To Monto' is released July 8th. Continuing the process of re-emergence that began with 2014's Mi Senti EP and 2015's critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize nominated album 'Hairless Toys', 'Take Her Up To Monto' is an album which crackles with wild invention. If 'Mi Senti' EP was a love letter to Murphy's creative life, then the sessions that followed were a full-blown symphony. Five intensive weeks working alongside long term musical collaborator Eddie Stevens resulted in enough material for two albums. Hairless Toys' served to ease her audience into this new. It piles up rich melodies Mastermind , Nervous Sleep and doubles down on quixotic rhythms Thoughts Wasted , Romantic Comedy , but once attached to Murphys off-kilter frequency, youre hypnotised. Never change, Róisín. Take Her Up to Monto Róisín Murphy. Róisín Murphy kept fans waiting nearly a decade for new music when Hairless Toys arrived in 2015, which made the release of Take Her Up to Monto just over a year later all the more surprising. While many artists might coast for a while after releasing a comeback album, this is the kind of unexpected move that's quintessentially Murphy. Recorded during the same five-week sessions that resulted in Hairless Toys, Take Her Up to Monto often feels like that album's counterpart

Whoa... Blown away by the audio, the sound, the bass, her voice. So glad to see her moving towards more experimental music. The long track on side D is pure headphone sex.
Skunk Black
Indeed but the bass is way too cut off giving that dreaded low rumble even on relatively low volume. The vocals are very well mixed tho
the best album of Roisin, amazing !
Glorious album, again. Even stranger and more layered than Hairless Toys, though quite different in its approach. Any idea why the album was split into two discs? The slightly longer Hairless Toys had great sound quality on just a single record, and this clocks in at just about the max for an album (~46 minutes / 23 per side). Would have at least liked to see them bump it to 45 RPM to justify spreading the compact album over four sides of wax... Oh well, excess flipping aside, it's a beautiful package and sounds lovely.

To be honest, most of your complaints don't really apply here - the sound quality and quality control issues that you're complaining about aren't present here. "Those people" that didn't bump this to 45 RPM weren't "those people" you're complaining about based on the record I own so...
with "charge more" I meant prices for vinyl in general these days. It's nice that Juno only wants 17.68 for a double album. However, have you seen the prices the majors charge for re-releases or new vinyl these days? they are really milking it... considering the high amount of faulty records (I explained the reasons why) they throw on the market. That said then there are labels such as "music on vinyl".. who have exorbitant prices too, but the quality is okay.
Hi, I was just about to write exactly the same thing in my review when I discovered yours:-)The problem is that all knowledge about vinyl production is lost, thus leaving it in the hands of people who can't distinguish a damaged disk from a good one and who don't even know that you can't touch a record with your bare fingers. That's why half of the new records are already totally stained with fingerprints and thus damaged. So how could those people possibly know that you can improve sound quality by printing it at 45rpm?The reason why most albums are spread out on two disks is the money aspect... They can charge more! It's not about the sound, they are just milking the fact that vinyl is hip again!By the way, the album itself is GREAT!
Should be the limited signed copy treated as a different release ? it contains also a signed picture of roisin.
No (At least 10 words must be entered. Please enter at least 9 more.)
Mine was signed on the outside (front of the album) and inside was containing a picture of roisin signed: loveRoisinI will post here when I will be back home
I didn't received signed print too - just a signed copies of vinyl and CD :/
did'nt get the signed print :/ but the sleeve was signed. Was yours signed or did you "just" got a signed photo ?
I don't think it needs a separate entry. A note in the main release would be enough. The signed picture was only given to patience fans who ordered through her website, after the original signed albums were damaged in transit. Roisin kindly included the signed art print as an apology for the delay to those fans.
