Album

1234 is the second studio album by Propaganda. Released in 1990, Michael Mertens was the only remaining member of the group from their previous album A Secret Wish, though original member Suzanne Freytag made a guest appearance on two tracks, and the album includes some songs co-written by Ralf Dörper. New group members included Derek Forbes and Brian McGee, both formerly of Simple Minds, and vocalist Betsi Miller. The album was produced by Ian Stanley and Chris Hughes, most notable for their work. 1234 - Propaganda. Keyboardist Michael Mertens Propaganda's only remaining original member and Simple Minds graduates Derek Forbes bass and Brian McGee drums were still on board, although singer Claudia Brucken had been replaced by Betsi Miller, an American vocalist who fit in nicely. What a disapointment! After Propaganda's first album A Secret Wish, which is a truly masterpiece, my expectations were really high on this new album. Where is the electronic sound on this album? Where are the dark twisted lirycs? Where is the dark tone present in all A Secret Wish?
Opilar
This record is truly brilliant. It combines the best in melodic approach to pop and uses previous experience of Propaganda with electronic instruments. The vocals of this new girl are just amazing. I've been listening to it since its release and up to this time (2004) and still enjoy it immensely. I only wish there were more albums like this.
